Rule #1: Always talk about Flight Club

Whether you plan on blazing a trail, or trailing behind, we invite you to come out to our brand spankin new trail running group, so fittingly dubbed "Flight Club"
If you read our last post about getting into trail running, and just the thought of crunching twigs and the smell of dirt gets you on a high, we strongly suggest you meet up with us and feed that newfound addiction. It's all for free - just come with your favorite pair of runners laced up get ready to Never Stop Exploring!
Brian and I have enlisted the help of our friends at The North Face and we are hoping to bring you on some great runs through our trail-rich city, not to mention we would like to also hang out and talk with you afterwards over some delicious local brews.
If you have never run a trail in your life, no sweat, there is no experience needed. For our very first run as a club, we're going to do a fairly short 6km-ish loop around O'Dell park, with some pace setters at the front, and some motivators at the back to make sure no one gets lost.

We hope that the more people we get involved in the club, the more participation we will have for some great events, like ho downs and hulabaloos; or just a fall trail race, sponsored by of course, our friends at The North Face.

Our very first Flight Club run is scheduled for Monday, June 11th. The weekly plan is for all participants to meet up, ready to run at The Radical Edge on Queen Street at 5:30pm. From there, we will all cycle, or ride share to the selected trail head (this week, Odell), and hit the trails by 6pm.
We encourage everyone to come on out and help us launch our very first Flight Club Trail Run!
The following week schedule is as follows:
June 18: Marysville Trails
June 25:  Kilarney Trails
Look out for our Flight Club posters around the city! The QR code on the poster can be scanned  with a smartphone to check the current week's trail map. You can also stop into the shop to see the trail map posted at the counter, or visit our blog's events calendar

Let's hit the ground runnin!
